Finnish drivers are fined when travelling in Russia

Many drivers from the border areas of Finland have already faced changes in the traffic rules of the Russian Federation and now they prepare to travel more carefully.

In April of this year according to the decision of the Russian government, exploitation of studded snow tyres is allowed only when there is a special sign "Spikes" on the vehicle. His absence could result not only in a fine from the inspector, but also in the detention of the vehicle as long as the sticker with the sign will not appear on the rear window of the car.

In this regard, the demand for stickers has increased significantly among the Finnish drivers who regularly cross the Russian border. Many Finnish fuel stations at the border observed record sales of this sign. Most residents of Finland, residing near the border, come to Russia for cheap petrol.
